Anduin's engagements are led by a core team with deep operational experience, supported by a network of independent advisors and specialist firms that we bring in as the problem requires.

Christopher Ede-Calton

Managing Partner

Christopher Ede-Calton founded Anduin Strategies to connect what traditional advisory firms keep separate: the diplomatic, the financial, and the operational.

His career in international affairs has taken him across multiple continents, working directly with governments, multilateral institutions, major philanthropies, and sovereign missions. He created and led an embassy engagement network with more than 25 countries participating, opening direct channels between Washington and senior decision-makers in their capitals. He led Track II dialogues between major powers, coordinated multi-country programs across 21 nations, launched initiatives at the intersection of environmental enforcement and national security, and served as Special Advisor to the Permanent Mission of Palau to the United Nations, contributing to the passage of the Maritime Protection Act. Earlier in his career, he founded an organization working with indigenous refugees in Burma to build economic alternatives in environments shaped by illicit economies and deep institutional mistrust.

His work sits where few advisory firms are comfortable: at the convergence of planetary stewardship, democratic resilience, and the security challenges that arise when these systems come under pressure. He maintains relationships across diplomatic, defense, investor, and civil society communities, and brings them together when the problem demands it.

Francis M. Johnson

Principal

Francis M. Johnson brings more than 25 years of field experience across West Africa, Central Africa, and Europe in governance, institutional reform, geopolitical risk advisory, and cross-border engagement in some of the most politically sensitive environments in the world.

His work has taken him to Nigeria, Togo, Benin, Ivory Coast, Angola, Belgium, and the United Kingdom, where he has supported election processes, led public-sector modernization efforts, and built crisis communication frameworks for government ministries and multilateral partners under real operational pressure. His work spans public policy, national security, and international coordination, with long-standing engagement across European and transatlantic institutions.

At Anduin, he brings this depth of field experience to clients navigating high-stakes political environments where the margin for error is thin. His strength is judgment, discretion, and knowing how to operate with precision in places where trust is earned slowly and lost quickly.
